Mount Holyoke has a beautiful campus and is one of the leading colleges in the US. It is one of the "5 Colleges" in the Pioneer Valley (the part of the Connecticut River Valley in western Massachusetts) that share a lot of resources. The colleges are Mount Holyoke, Amherst, Smith, Hampshire and UMass. MathPath was held previously at Mount Holyoke in 2017, 2014, and 2012. The Hampshire College Summer Studies in Mathematics (HCSSiM), one of the leading high school summer math programs, will be 7 miles away.

In short, there is a rich mathematical culture in the Pioneer Valley, with many mathematicians with experience doing outreach to young students, mathematicians we will be able to call on to give courses and lectures. Not the least of these are the mathematicians at Mount Holyoke itself, who have been very supportive of us in the past.

So imagine yourself among others – people just like you – in pursuit of the mathematician within, on this beautiful campus.

MathPath offers students of middle school age who are extremely talented in mathematics the summer opportunity to learn and develop at a pace and to a depth that matches their abilities while also providing them the rich social and recreational experience of a residential summer program.

MathPath is an independent nonprofit organization not affiliated with the host institution.
