Advanced Summer Camp for students age 11-14
who show high promise and love mathematics

Comments by 2-Weekers from 2009

MathPath is a 4-week camp, but one may attend for the first two weeks (and no other 2-week period).

On an anonymous survey at the end of the first 2 weeks, we asked the 2-weekers the following question:

Was signing up for 2 weeks a good idea?
Do you have any advice for students
who apply for the 2-week option next year?

Here are the answers:

  • At the time I thought it was a great idea to only sign up for 2 weeks, but now that I'm here, I would prefer to stay for 4. However, I have a play I am in next week.

  • Signing up for 2 weeks was not a good idea, but I had to go. Go for 4 weeks if you can.

  • You should sign up for 4 weeks.

  • I believe that people should only apply for 2 weeks if they have a time conflict because MathPath is so fun that no one would want to stay for a shorter period of time.

  • Signing up for 2 weeks was a good idea. I think it is mostly good for first- or second-time campers.

  • Yes (signing up for 2 weeks was a good idea).

  • Yes, it (2 weeks) was a good experience. 2 week campers should keep 4 weeks as an open option.

  • I don't know if signing up for 2 weeks was a good idea.

  • Signing for 2 weeks was a good idea. I never would have come for 4 and I think I would have hated it. I miss my family and my puppy and I am ready to go home. But I'm glad I came because I had a great time.
